He was their glue guy, did a lot of things really well, and was an extremely, under-rated, SF in the league. He didn't need to score a lot, but when called upon did a great job of contributing (Selvig and Steward togther made UM very unique and hard to guard). With the loss of Steward, Selvig, Stockton, and EVANs. UM might struggle. Look at Tinkle's record before Evans and after Evans. Shocking difference. Tinkle couldn't beat Rahe until Evan's joined his staff. ISU really got a good coach in Evans. Look for ISU to be a defensive juggernaut as long as he is in Poky. He had a better senior year than I remember... good rebound rate, and efficient offensively. Nothing wrong with that, and I would agree - I should have talked a little more about him in the write-up. Nothing stellar but he had his moments. He started 16 of 28 for us last season with 5.3 ppg, 4.2 rpg, and 0.5 bpg and played about 15.2 mpg. I don’t think I would consider this a miss for Katz, especially considering he was splitting time with Veteto at C.SDHornetnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5489976410121533313.post-13097866589151641592012-08-23T15:52:35.939-06:002012-08-23T15:52:35.939-06:00It's all good, I thought maybe he left and I h...It's all good, I thought maybe he left and I hadn't heard about it. Initially I thought Groom would play a significant role at PG for our program but Katz was able to recruit better players. Good job with this review, it really puts things in perspective.SDHornetnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5489976410121533313.post-12553423756924214382012-08-22T21:58:32.430-06:002012-08-22T21:58:32.430-06:00My bad!
