Actually to be quite honest, I'm still pissed off at that play call and shot by Kelly.

And yes, agreed, Drew and OG's play down the stretch has been highly frustrating as well. OG on paper looks like he should be a potential Big sky POY, he has size, can shoot, can handle the ball. But he just cant put it together. His career has been a let down, I thought when EWU landed him, he would have the impact Brueunig is having in Missoula. Kelly's offensive diet consists strictly of open jump shots. It is disappointing, but that goes for Miljkovic and Brandon too. EWU has the best chance of any Big Sky team of winning an NCAA tournament game if they make it, but that's contingent upon players who are on scholarship because they can shoot making open jumpers. These guys can play, the Indiana upset does not happen if Brandon doesn't score 20+ and Kelly doesn't hit his big three at the end. Those versions of those players have not been present since mid-February. That is something I have not seen mentioned anywhere. A lot of people are critical of Harvey's shot % and selection, but he really has to shoot and hope to score 24+ for a win. Of all the disappearing acts, Kelly has been the most frustrating to me. Maybe I'm hung up on his airball vs Montana that cost EWU hosting rights. But being a Sr and having played the most games in EWU history, its a huge disappointment how poorly he is playing. I think outside of Montana, they are playing the best ball in the conference. I predicted they would get hot and finish strong on one of your earlier posts. That first round game is potentially the best game of the tourney. That or a Montana vs EWU final. Should be a great time, cant wait for tomorrow!! It's easy to pinpoint Harvey's lower shooting percentage since his injury, but from 2/12 on, Brandon, Kelly, and Miljkovic have vanished. Miljkovic has only two games shooting 50% or higher since 2/12. Kelly has two games shooting 50% or higher in the same time frame. Both have four games with one field goal or less since 2/17. Brandon has seven games since 2/7 shooting 36% or less. All impressive, considering the volume of open looks these players get. Right now, if Harvey and Jois don't score into the 20's, and if Bliznyuk doesn't score around 10, EWU has no chance to pull away from anyone. I like our chances if he is unable to go.SDHornetnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5489976410121533313.post-3581271135633703992015-03-10T23:53:49.914-06:002015-03-10T23:53:49.914-06:00Well done sir.Well done sir.chbeebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14338444339792512907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5489976410121533313.post-7717016885773839632015-03-10T23:04:44.064-06:002015-03-10T23:04:44.064-06:00I was typing on a Microsoft Surface and it made so...I was typing on a Microsoft Surface and it made some strange auto corrects... thought I kept them all, but I guess not, haha.
