Weber State Gets A Little Publicity

From The Hoops Report:

The Wildcats from the Big Sky Conference may be the best team out West no one knows about. They had an impressive victory over instate rival Utah State a few weeks ago, and will get their opportunity against other instate teams in Brigham Young and the University of Utah in the upcoming weeks. WSU is led by junior guard Damian Lillard, who is averaging 23 ppg. Lillard is the star of the team and has the skill set to play in the NBA. He broke his leg mid way through last season which killed the Wildcats chances at making the tournament. WSU is deadly from long range with Scott Bamforth. When Lillard is able to take his man off the dribble and have the defense collapse on him, Bamforth has been lights out from the catch and shoot role. Through three games this season Bamforth is averaging 18.8 ppg and shooting 63 percent from the 3-point line. Weber will be the team to beat this year in the Big Sky and has the guard play to make it and advance in the tournament.
